Show doesn't seem anywhere close to being ready for a series finale eepisode.

i thought there was one more after this?

There is one more episode, but tonight's episode is the season finale and next weeks episode is the series finale, since it was filmed just to "end" the show.

This, 7 seasons would have been appropriate. Probably the cast wanted more money after all these years and show wasn't making a profit for the producers anymore. Too bad it has to end like this, perhaps with many unanswered questions.

So their big season finale for season 5 is to emulate Invasion of the Body Snatchers with a healthy dash of zombies? Pardon my French, but fuck that. Especially since they already did zombies in season 4. This isn't sci-fi.

You know what? I'm going to be glad when this show is done. As nice as it is, with the exception of season 4.5 the writing staff just can't do season story arcs. Which means the start and end of every season is just as painful as the last.

This season was awful excepting the last two episodes.
btw I have seen the series finale which will show next week and it does a nice job of tying everything up.

Damn, I'm going to miss that show. It wasn't 100% sci-fi, but it was relatively lighthearted scifi. You don't get much of that nowadays. There is still one episode left, so I hope that it is an extended running one. I still think that the series had potential for a few more seasons if they kept the main characters though.

Since they jumped the shark with the new timeline it went downhill however they really pissed me off when they killed off Stark as he rocked. :(

He wanted to leave the show, they didn't have a choice.

And I still think season 4.5 was the best (half) season of Eureka out of all of them, so the timeline didn't necessarily cause them to jump the shark. Not being done with that plot has caused them issues however.

I can't for the life of me figure that out. He has done very little since the show. Just a guest appearance here and there and a syfy saturday movie and a tv commercial.

As I recall he was afraid of getting typecasted.
