I would rather that happen than they leave us hanging.Wouldn't it be great... if they all got blown to shit?

Time travel will get them back to the Federation safe and sound.
After two seasons, 40 episodes, and an ambitious storyline, Stargate Universe comes to its end tonight. It wasn’t the end that the writers intended — SGU will end on a bittersweet cliffhanger, from all reports. There will be no third season, no wrap-up movie or mini-series, no webisodes or other last-minute reprieve. But it’s been one hell of a ride.
I hope James gets naked.
Is it just a single hour? I can't recall... did they know it was cancelled when they wrote this? Are we going to have a half-decent series finale, or is it just going to be a last episode of season 2 type thing?

edit: apparently it is just an hour and
I hate it when this type of stuff happens. The Networkers tell the series writers and production for a series that they are canceled after all the series shows are filmed. I remember at least with Jericho they knew the series was ending for the shortened second season so there was a ending so you felt complete. I almost don't want to watch it because of this. Why should I watch the final show to have it end on a cliff hanger?

Could be worse. Like Atlantis... "Gee, let's fly Atlantis to Earth, blow up an overgrown hive ship, then land the city 6 feet away from the Golden Gate Bridge. Sure, NOBODY is going to notice that!"
"I'm up here"
syfy is just cutting the strings from what it was, soon the galactica spinoff will be canned too
You meen the second galactica spinoff? *sigh*
yeah that's what i mean.

hmm apparently it's just a pilot. i'll assume a series will be greenlit, they'll shoot it, then they'll can it.

It kind of annoys me that they have a winner with BSG, don't give it the support and stability it needs, then can it. Then they greenlight Caprica, dick around with it, and can it. THEN they decide that another BSG spinoff is a good idea.
Like fuck, does SyFy think we want galactica or not? If they think we want it, give us one good show and give the writers the security they need in order to make it good. If they think galactica just won't work, don't keep making new series.
That sucks. Where did you get the quote? I have been under the impression that they did get a chance to wrap it up nicely.
imho, the first spinoff was shyte. BSG was an abomination, not worthy of even a full one hour epsiode.
