That may have been the second cruelest episode of Eureka ever, right behind the episode where Jack & Allison were married and he had his mind wiped.

Oh, and Felicia Day is good at "dessert".😱

Did they ever explain why they were going to Titan of all places?

I don't remember.
They're going somewhere because they have a working FTL drive. Why they're going to Titan specifically has never really been stated.

I just finished watching all eureka episodes on netflix. Ima sad panda now. Great qwerky show.

It was fun, had great characters, and a lot of potential, but I was a bit annoyed by the wash, rinse, repeat procedure of every plot:

1. Everything's great
2. An experiment gets "out" and it's gonna destroy the whole town/country/world
3. Henry makes up some gobbledygook bs
4. Sheriff takes Henry's de-sciencification ray and de-sciences the science experiment
5. Everything's great

The show suffered from the writers' strike, and the reboot was annoying.

Both very true and very good points. On the other hand we eventually got season 4.5 (which this thread is from) which is without a doubt the series' high point. They finally had a long-term arc going that worked, and were able to structure weekly episodes around it.

I would agree with that. How they rebooted, not really great. But loved some of the new chars and how they played into the series.
