Sadly I just found out that Tess will not be remaining as a character on the show. Jaime Ray Newman is going to be one of the stars of a new show this fall, not on SyFy, called Eastwick, based on the movie the Witches of Eastwick.

Eureka goes through characters entirely too quickly. Since the end of Season 2 they've written off Bev, Stark, Lexi, and Eva Thorne. Meanwhile Taggart is AWOL, Carter's first girlfriend Callie disappeared, and Allison's first son Kevin has been missing too. This show has a great deal of churn.

I guess the black hole in Eureka got them. 😉

I'm surprised Global Dynamics has any researchers left. Someone always dies. And ViRGE is right, there's too much cast rotation going on.

SPOILER:

we will be seeing Taggart again soon.

Well that was a surprisingly good episode. It was a bit out of left field, but it worked. And for some reason the blender joke was absolutely hilarious.

Oh, and scratch 1 recurring character off of the dead list. See what I mean about churn? 😛

The blender joke just must have went over my head.

And no one has an opinion on whether Carter finally got laid? After all the guy has been single in Eureka for about 3 years and just about everyone seems to have gotten some, even Fargo.
I see what the show did. With Allison preggers on the show (and in real life) they bring in Tess for a season so Carter can have a love interest. As soon as Allison squeezes out the ankle biter she's back on Carters wish list. Although I got to admit I am not finding the new Allison in charge character especially likeable.

This episode kinda blew it for me. I was really enjoying the show again over the past few episodes as it seemed like they had a good little mini-arc going.

When the ship landed, I just KNEW it was gonna be either that chick or Stark (or maybe Kevin). And I'm sorry, but a freaking pile of toaster ovens can out power the entire US grid? This show is supposed to be for nerds. It seems like they rely WAY too much on deus ex machina to both create and solve their problems.

Good point. They've made her the hardass boss very quickly.

Edit: And of course he didn't get laid. The show is 42 minutes per week of Carter Must Suffer 😛
