I did a search and didn't receive any results on last night?s episode of The Shield  Am I the only person still watching the show? I found tonight?s episode pretty cool; I just wish the season finally wasn't spread over two weeks, but done like the X-Files series finally.

my gf tapes it for me and we watch it when i get home from work.. i thought tonight's was good, unfortunately I only started watching the show for the past 4 or 5 weeks

so I didnt quite understand WHY the big bald cop (his name slipped my mind right now) is in cahoots with these drug dealers, protecting them, etc.. what is he gaining for this? money? I didnt think he was THAT corrupt

I saw that show for the first time tonight (along with 24), and I just couldn't get into it for some reason.

(24 was pretty good, but predictable)

He gains money and he only protecs one drug dealer and his people and by doing so keeps drug wars over territory minimal. As for how currupt he is in the first episode he shot another cop in the face so yeah he is that corrupt :). The cop was a rat put on his team to catch him doing illegal things but still.

I haven't watched this weeks show yet (thank you tivo) but I'm going to very shortly.

Robbing relatives, and nailing feet to the floor?!

This seemed like a pretty good episode, but I don't think it would be the best one for someone just seeing the show for the first time, seemed to rely on information on the characters garnered in previous episodes.

I didn't think the murderous foot-nailer image was the stereotypical Korean youth ;)

That's almost as sad though. Oh well at least the guy spoke up over his family's objections.

W00t I am in as a faithful Shield watcher... I don't know whether to hate Vic or not. He does bad stuff, but the good that he does almost outweighs the bad. Except for killing the cop of course.

But that's why, now that 24 is over, The Shield is the best show on TV!!!

And Julian is one messed up gay dude! Do you think people feel like that often when they are gay and fighting it? Jerboy?? Any thoughts?

I think that's why the show is so damm good. You just don't know how to feel about Vic. I mean, he kills, which is bad. But he kills bad people. On the other hand, he also works with drug dealers, giving them protection, so that's bad. On the other hand, he also tried to help that prostitute kick the habit so she could take care of her son, so it's very, very tough.

As for Julian......man that was freaky when he wanted that teenager to shoot him. He was just standing there, with his gun in his holster and no vest. That's suicidal and that could endanger his partner too.......very troubling.

You know what, I believe you are right PsychoAndy, good catch. I'll confirm once I catch the re-run on Sunday night. Either way, The Shield is now the best show on TV [Well, now that 24 is over :( ] :D

edit: Must learn to spell

That must have been a tv slip-up then. When his partner confronted him he pulled out the lame "I forgot to bring my vest today" excuse.
Julian definitely wanted to die. I hope now that other people admited to having their gaydar go off the scale when he's in the room he'll accept it and not try to kill himself. When he went off on the cross dresser in the blanket party I got a whole new respect for him. Until then he was just a whiny trainee... now he's actually showing character.

ThaGrandCow, granted the "blanket party" did add to Julian's character, but not as much as his conversation w/ Vic in the bathroom. As forgaining a "new respect for," I personaly find that quite sad; just my opinion, not an attact or anything the like against you. We both know how the OT board came be.
