The mark of a good sci-fi show is how it handles current events. Sci-fi is often about exploring the human condition, it's only appropriate how modern situations are factored in, and possible solutions played out.Originally posted by: DanTMWTMP
HOLY SH!T BSG WAS FRIGGIN AWESOME!!! OH GAWD I CAN'T WAIT 'TILL NEXT WEEK ;PW984URA;SLDKJF
The whole thing was awesome. Wasn't it eerily similar to today's events? maybe how..err...nm. I really don't want to get this into a political discussion. But ya, I love how they showed the insight of the occupation, the hopeless resistance, the hope, loyalties, sacrifice, fear, etc etc.... umm.. i think i just jizzed because i was thinking of the show. arg, hold on...
ok back, ya, I can't wait until next week!

I too would've liked to see Baltar get shot. It would have meant he'd stood by his morals and convictions and done the right thing for once.
And is it just me, or is the Dean Stockwell and Xena models complete and total a-holes?

The Doctor and Rose travel back to 1879, but an encounter in the Scottish Highlands with Queen Victoria and a band of warrior monks reveals a deadly trap.
"Tooth and Claw" Episode #218.
Humans find various ways of living under Cylon rule on New Caprica; Adama plans a rescue mission; the Cylons crack down on the humans after a bombing.
"The Occupation; Precipice" Episode #300.

The new Doctor Who series is great. There are some cheesy special effects, but the show isn't trying to be anything serious. Wait until you see the episode 'The Girl In The Fireplace'. The new doctor played by David Tennant sort of grows on you after a few episodes.

I guess President Baltar has to stay " to fight another day" like Number Six said.
Some changes noticed. "Helo" is now the XO of Galactica and if you notice Sharon is now Lt. Sharon Agathon; so she is married to "Helo" Karl Agathon.

I thought it Helo would be Karl "Helo" Agathon. I guess a lot can happen in 4 monthes in space.
I like the Cylons response to the "suspected" insurgents. It was cold, calculated and made for one hell of a cliff hanger.

who did they show alive in the preview? I wasnt paying much attention during the preview part, but I recall seeing president Roslin. If she was the only character shown, then you gotta know she makes it thru alive...no way would they kill off a major character like Roslin. but then again, I hope they kill off Baltar. I cant stand his crying all the time
