Do we know the pilot? I'm trying to come up with who it might be. I can't think of any eps that involved one-way missions.

Looks like no.

I'd be kinda nice to see some of the random pilots killed over the course of the series show up.

haha, I remember a guy named chuckles because when he died one of the other pilots got on the radio and screamed "no, CHUCKLESSS!!!"

So Baltar was getting some "63"
But was it the real 6 in the bed with D'Anna and Baltar or was it the imaginary 6?
Or was it a dream of D'annas?
Heck, if it were MY dream I would make D'anna dress up as Xena.

D'Anna had a dream where she was being shot in a galactica corridor. She woke up in bed with caprica six and baltar.

So is Bulldog a civilian now?

man, this ep is like a Pear Harbor, or 9/11 conspiracy.

What do they mean by "draidus"? (enemy ship?)

Draidus is the radar esc system, isn't it?

Isn't it the radar system that the cylons use? Otherwise, how would they know the drones they fired would look like battlestar ships on the cylon radar system?

Baltar is officially a pimp now.:p How long it'll last remains to be seen though, it looks like D'anna is losing it (but then again, what Cylon has it?). I'm not sure how I feel about this episode though, I don't like how it gives two possibilities (either the Cylons or the Colonials shot Bulldog down) when we know neither will be confirmed. These kind of things need to be written with absoluteness.

PS Geocentricity, both the Cylons and Colonials use Dradis

No it's the system the humans use. They can identify colonial ships from cylons because the colonial ships have colonial transponders.

I think it was explained that Adama shot Bulldog down.

The question is did that start the war.

Adama shot Bulldog after he was already hit. An unknown ship jumped in, shot Bulldog, and then jumped out. Adama shot Bulldog down intending to destroy him so that the approaching Cylons didn't find him.

So the first unknown ship that jumped in could have been another Colonial, as a second black op to make Adama's black op go wrong enough to provoke a war (Adama rushes in, destroys the 2 cylon scouts to save his pilot).

Also, the admiralty could have been running more than one black op into Cylon space.

This episode seems like it was written to echo all of the conspiracy theories about 9/11 and about Bush already having planned for invading Iraq before it.

Which is exactly my gripe; was it the Colonials or Cylons who shot Bulldog first? It's a small but important distinction that we'll never be told. I don't like this Lost "ask questions, never answer them" BS.

It's like who shot first at Concord.

"American" Colonists trying to be free from their British/Cylon oppressors! :)

I thought both episodes were awesome...the Doctor Who was my favorite I think.

As for the 9/11 conspiracy theory link to BSG, I guess I'm just not in a political mindset like some others...I really saw no connection to that, or any current events.

It's kinda sad. I don't think there is any way for BSG to last past next season.
There is even a good chance this season may be its last.
The ratings are down, down, down.
Sci-fi is about to either change its time slot and is even considering moving it to another day.
The bottom line is that despite its critical success and devoted audience the ratings don't support a show this costly to produce.
I'd say its 60-40 it gets another season.
And 90-10 that next season will be the last.

Do you have the ratings for the last couple of episodes?

No, apparently Sci-Fi is keeping them under wraps, but the word is they are very, very disappointing.

Interestingly enough, I actually liked this one

I thought it was good.

How could you know that the ratings are poor if SciFi has it under wraps??

Would it really be bad if it got moved to another day/timeslot? Be better for me!

Ratings are known by many, many people at networks and the word gets out. I have read this in numerous places, and it is supported in other places by the use of words for the ratings as "disappointing" "unsustainable" etc.
I know, I am disappointed too. But after reading so many indications the ratings suck and the fact that sci-fi won't release them shows it is the truth.
btw their were ratings released for the first three episodes. It opened ok, went downhill and the Exodus pt.2 with the great space battle and rescue was the killer. It was hoped it would be a big ratings boost but it dropped off greatly from the already low ratings of Exodus pt. 1. Seems the episodes on New Caprica and the lack of special fx did not draw in any new fans and by the big escaped epi there were not many viewers.
And that episode cost BSG almost half of the entire years special fx budget.

hehe. Here's a pretty obviously faked spoiler:

'Valkyrie' - Thought destroyed along with the rest of the Colonial Fleet, Battlestar Valkyrie is found abandoned in the Laguna Nebula. Major Lee Adama is very excited because he thinks that he's about to get promoted back to the rank of Commander, but the Old Man has other plans. Once Tyrol and Laird get the Valkyrie up and running again Admiral Adama plans to make his old ship the new Flagship of the RTF. Meanwhile, Starbuck and Anders are seeing a marriage counselor, but Kara is sleeping around on Anders with Kacey's mom. Admiral Adama does promote Lee back to Commander, but places him in command of Galactica, which doesn't sit very well with Lee; to make matters worse Adama has decided to make Helo Lee's new XO. Officers and Crew that weren't selected by Admiral Adama to transfer with him over to the Valkyrie causes tensions to rise within the fleet. Meanwhile, Baltar has managed to knock up all of the female Cylons, and royally p!ss off all of the male Cylons; now he starts to make moves on the Hybrids.

Will Admiral Adama be happy back onboard the Valkyrie, can Lee be a Commander without gaining weight or destroying the Galactica, will Baltar be able to knock up the Hybrids, who is the 13th Cylon, and when will Kara and Kacey's mom come out of the closet?

All of these questions will be answered in 'Valkyrie'!
