Battlestar Galactica is so good that I dont even miss StarGate. In fact I think Stargate sucked now that I think about it (towards the end).

How does the Battlestar Galactica have Artificial Gravity? How can one accomplish this on any spacesship. In other Scifi movies usually spaceships have like this round carousel that spins around to achieve Artificial Gravity.

BSG is sci-fi "lite". you can't look at it from a conventional sci-fi point of view. it's more of a drama series set in space. a lot of things are unexplained and/or don't make too much sense. it's like the writers took our own world and threw in a few disproportionally advanced technology (FTL, artificial gravity, cybernetics). having said that, it's still a damn good series though for what it does focus on.

yeah its what I like about it. It's not like Star Trek like 1000 years later, but maybe what we could be in say 200 years. Maybe no FTL drives but space ships.

Anyways it was a good show tonight, a different view on the show.

How much booze did Colonel Tigh bring aboard to begin with? I think in just about every episode he is kicking back multiple bottles of something or another.

From where?? Remember they are on the run, with no home planet, and as such they need to be carrying whatever they need.

It's not like the Galatica can drop in on some nearby corner store to make a beer run.

Yea, Tigh is definitely all about the shine. They've showed them brewing it several times now.

It was nice to get a good look at how the Cylons operate, how a base ship works, and their use of hybrids.
Are those cylon-human hybrids? And why do they need them?

Yeah, it was also interesting to see them get in a yelling argument.

wow incredible episode. lots of happenings. currently all signs point to the cylons will soon get what they deserve. that artifact and its relationship to earth is really puzzling. if it really is that old and left by earth, why would it even have anything to do with the cylons which came into existence like only a few decades before the settings of the show? are they similar to a previous enemy?

They can't really be true Cylon/Human hybrids, that's the whole thing the Cylons have been trying to create with Hera. Perhaps they're an earlier form of Humano-Cylon, a more mechanical Cylon that's the missling link between the Centurions and Skinjobs, which would be required to interface with the base ship.

And I put 2:1 odds that good Sharon dies as a trojan horse.

Maybe the dude has a still. He'd not only have a nice supply, but he'd have a corner on the market.

I'm def starting to feel the same about Stargate as many above have mentioned. I just re-watched the first 7 seasons--combined with the eigth, the last two don't hold a candle. Ben Browder and Claudia Black are very fun to watch, but it just doesn't feel like stargate.

I SOOO need to watch this show. I abandoned it in the first season, and I need to buy the DVD's or something.
