Tonight's Battlestar Galactica Episode [03-18-2007]...

oh snap..one more episode before end of the season.

does it get better after

*SPOILER*

the labor thing with the chief? that episode weren't that good...

whats with the prez adviser and anders?

anders is hearing the music from the radio but tigh is just wasted i think.

lee keeps makin the wrong choices, hes goin off the deep end.

I just started watching this show and I have a few questions.

Is admiral supposed to be such a douche bag and the president such a bitch, or is it just me?

Is the man on trial really a bad guy, because he seems to be in the right?

Do they not know that Earth is populated? They keep saying the need to save the human race and there are very few from wherever they are from.

like most people, they've got good days and bad days.

it's a bit ambiguous, but he's done some pretty awful things.

they don't know, but suspect that it is (it's supposed to be where the 13th tribe went).

back to the OP... I'm really liking the episode so far. no cally is a good thing.

Hmmm...

Wasn't this a sci-fi show at one point...complete with battles and cylons that aren't in the brig?

😕

I think they blew this season's budget on the first half.

much better than the past few episodes. sucks that they decided to make it good again at the very end of the season

There will be spoilers below in my reply to this thread, you are forewarned.

Better than the last few episodes, but still - they could have done much better.

The quandary Lee is in is interesting. On the one hand, do you do everything you can to get your client off. On the other hand, what he said to get Rosalyn discredited was deceitful; he knows very well that her hallucinations have nothing to do with her evidence against Baltar.

I guess the question is, do you follow the letter of the law, or the spirit of it? We know that while Baltar is a spineless bastard, he never meant or did anything to cause his fellow humans harm (other than giving the nuke to Gina, which was idiotic). He didn't want to sign that execution order, and it would have happened he did so or not. On that end of things, I enjoyed this episode thoroughly.

I have no idea what the radio is all about. And it looks like Anderson and Rosalyn's attache have something going on, but no idea about the specifics of that either. Anyone got a theory?

It may be how that hugh Cylon fleet is tracking them, I'm not sure how exactly, but when you mix machine and human... hmmm... just an observation yllus 🙂

Yikes! Adama is the unknown Cylon...will check the next episode for this.

How many more episodes before the season ends?

It's getting interesting...🙂

Next week is the finale.

As for this episode it finally has picked up from its slump, but I think I'll echo the "where's the sci-fi?" statement.

I was enjoying the episode until the scenes with Lee/Dee and Anders/Tory and wanted to scream "NNNOOO!!!! NO MORE SOAP OPERA BULLSH*T!!!"

What I'm about to say technically isn't a spoiler, since I don't know anything about the next episode beyond what was in the preview.

I'm guessing the people that can hear the music are the final five Cylons.

Lee loves to stir the sh!t. But it doesn't help when his dad constantly treats him like a retard. Seriously, not trusting your own son? Why would he think Lee gave out the Ellen information, Lee wasn't even involved in that situation, he never even went to new caprica.

I like how their fuel vessel is alone in space now. Like that doesn't appear to be a problem.

humm now that is an interesting idea. i think Tigue (sp) would kill himself if turns out to be cylon. but i dont think so, Adama has known him for many many many years.

well the final five are unknown even to the current cylons, so who knows maybe the final five have staged this for a long long time 🙂

Also, don't the final five know who they are?

No, they could be like Athena and not know they were a Cylon.

It'd be kinda cool if the music on the radio was a signal from the Cylons to activate the final 5 to destroy all humans! :]

According to some websites the music is "All Along the Watchtower" by Bob Dylan.

As I've stated in other BSG threads....these characters are getting more and more unlikable. Adamas (sr. and jr.) are both tools. At this point, the most likable character is Baltar, the new lawyer, and possibly the bartender.

Gaeta's still a fairly likable guy, although we haven't been seeing much of him lately. We'd better find out in the next episode what Baltar was going to use to blackmail the guy.

Little more in the way of spoilers below.

Finally got around to listening to exec producer Ronald D. Moore's podcast on the episode. He explained the shots with Tory (Rosalyn's PR chick/exec assistant) as her having gotten involved in a relationship (at least sexual, maybe more) with Anders. The extended cut of Rosalyn's confrontation with Tory included her making it clear that the affair with Anders has become well-known in the fleet, with many not appreciating the indecent haste of the union considering Starbuck is remembered as a hero and is only a few weeks in the grave.

No explanation of the radio yet. If people here haven't heard though, the order for new BSG episodes has been increased to a full 22 episodes for season 4, so we have a lot to look forward to. 🙂
