I'm not going to even bother to download it. It was so good, then just went straight downhill.

The first two seasons were amazing...and there has been an utter, complete collapse of plot, characteres...well, I wonder if Ron Moore is in rehab or really ought to be if not.

Sad, to watch the pathetic death of a once great show.

Bah, I can't watch it anymore. It's on thrice a week, once up against Nip/Tuck, one at 3am on a school night and then once against Lost. Oh well...

Nip/Tuck? I thought it doesn't start until Aug?

I can't agree that the plot has collapsed, I think all the sub stories have become overly complicated. What we all really enjoyed was the conflict between humans and cylons, not so much the melodrama of humanity. I could certainly do without the lover's twists and such..

But I will keep watching!

FYI there are only two episodes after this one. The season finale is a two-parter beginning next week.
And the rumor on the net is:
SPOILER ALERT
DON"T READ BELOW UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE
SPOILED:

Starbuck makes a two minute appearance at the very end of the season.

Regarding Tech's spoiler: *don't read further if you don't want to know what the spoiler was*

The only way that can happen is if Starbuck is a Cylon and that means they/she ruined it for a lot of people with that blooper thing where she said exactly that. So it's a lose/lose situation either way. I used to love this show... :(

it's a really great allegory for the US involvement in the Iraq war :p

or is it a metaphor... 4 years as an English lit major and I never really got the difference.

Since I don't feel like bitiching about the show I'll point out something I saw in this episode.

.Balter's lawyer died before the opening credits. Starbuck 'died' last week yet the count went from 41400 to 41399..............

So who didn't die. I wonder.........
:p

I've seen worse than tonight's episode although Callie has sorta fallen off the deep end and become quite the whack job - which when you think about it is pretty amazing as she usually only has about 5 lines per episode. She's sorta fallen under the orbit of Baltar right now and may need a bullet to the head/push out of an airlock in the near future.

She reminds me of Katie Holmes.

She could also appear in a flash back or they could travel back in time...

So did the letter to Baltar at the end simply indicate that Lee was being maneuvered (i.e. played) into working for the defense? Slow episode. Had some promise in the beginning and then went south. The show is rapidly going from compelling drama that happens to take place in space to daytime soap with scifi premise glued on. :(

Am I the only one that liked this episode as a whole? Sure we can't have the badassery-ness of fights and stuff all the time... I just like the commentary of today's events, and how the characters take on the situations.

In truth the show is dying from lack of money. Just like the original. It costs a lot of money to do the special effects and aside from the early escape from New Caprica episodes it is apparent they are shooting interpersonal scenes to save money.

Did anyone else notice that it was Katie Sackhoff who did the voiceover at the beginning of the episode? Starbuck's not gone from BSG, that I am sure of.

It was an okay episode, but I had thought that this would be the beginning of a two-part episode in order to address everything that's happened in this season. Now they've got only 42 minutes to do...well, everything.

More commentary from me after I listen to exec producer Moore's podcast on the episode later.

Actually there are two more episodes which are the season finale(s) so they have 84 minutes to to address everything.

I didnt think it was a bad show, but it did lack a lot. The only thing that had it going was the memories of Starbuck.

I'm going to be loyal to the show until it dies.. the same way i was loyal to the X-Files.

This is Canada man, we have one network that buys out practically all good American shows. This way, no one else can show them, and they can't show them either since the schedule is based around American Idol. Thus, the fourth season JUST started last week here. Oh, and goodbye Medium, have to watch that on NBC or play 'find Waldo' for whenever it's on.

Am I the only one that is bewildered about Baltar going from the most hated man in humanity for acting with the Cylons to some sort of populist Che Guerva figure? You would think that even his rambling "book" wouldn't make up for everything that happened on New Caprica...

boring show last night. I am about ready to mail Lee some prozac, he goes up and down more than a teenager who is bi-polar....
