The best part of the episode to me was Nadia talking to Doyle about Jack's approach...

Doyle: When will the tact team arrive?

Nadia: About 5 mins. You're gonna have to face Jack alone.

Doyle: I can handle this

How it prob really happened....

Doyle: When will the tact team arrive?

Nadia: About 5 mins. You're gonna have to face Jack alone.

Doyle: Aww !@#$

Damn the last hour was good. I didn't like this season as much as the last but it was still pretty damn good. Not quite as much "this show sucks lol" whiney ass posts as I thought there were gonna be in here, AMAZING.

I'm glad 24 had an anti-climatic ending. They can start S7 on a clean slate.. no Audrey, new CTU location.. and lots of Jack. I'm hoping the entire S7 is like S6's 1st 4 episodes. :)

I hope it's Jason Bourne style. No agency station, no tac teams, no techies working the satellite. I hope it's some kind of orders that he gets TXT via cell phone, and that's it.

QFT. it was great to see him out there. and he said he trained the guy that came out pointing a gun at him (the CTU agent that Jack cold-cocked) so he must've a lot of old experience in the field.

They explained in season 5 that he survived the crash.

Was it something just real quick or something? Cause I just don't remember it.

This season sucked balls.

The other seasons didn't jump the shark or was as poorly written and paced as this one. A MARKED deterioration IMHO.

stop watching?
i liked the ending. i think too many people are jumping on the "24 sucks now" bandwagon these days. some stories are reusued and ideas overused, but at least it's better than most of the crap out there

24 has been recycling plots since season 3. The only difference is for the past 2 seasons they were at least interesting and entertaining. This season felt like a chore to sit through.

And did anyone count how many times they used the word "component" in the last 7 episodes? Before that, the keyword was, "Gredenko" - last year, the word of the day was "the recording"

The finale wasn't all that great. A bunch of missiles take down an abandoned oil rig, followed by a bunch of cheesy lines.

Yea, they really didn't spend much time on it.

It feels like "24" lost all the good writers to new studio development deals (which is inevitable among successful shows) leaving a bunch of "lesser" new hires to run the show.

The crappy exposition is evidenced thru the crappy writing.

I think they need to go back in time to Jack's younger days in special Ops.
Must better opportunities there. That way they can bring back Palmer/Tony/ect...

I am kinda relieved that Doyle was blinded/injured. The show REALLY seemed to be setting him up as Jack's replacement. They kept wanting to make you like him.

I've said the same thing multiple times....a prequel would be awesome. Jack's covert adventures against Victor Drazen, etc. I was almost hoping he would kill himself last night so they could do it.

ah.. the ending....

thought the former dept of defense guy had a role in jack being kidnapped and taken to china.

BIG letdown that there wasnt a plot twist, and all the guy was about protecting his daughter. (like he said in an earlier episode.)

so where was the cliffhanger for season 7?!

jack jumps onto pointy rocks, or jack commits suicide w/his gun (silencer attachment FTW?)

Did you know Doyle said I GIVE YOU MY WORD to Josh? Oh goodness. I noticed we're spawning a new Jack here, but I guess he's out of commission now.

Unrealistic. Yea, I'm sure CTU will let 1 agent alone (Doyle) get involved in all this. I mean the fake component was already too easy. No backup to get Josh back? Hah, some exchange. Yea, since when did any agency let one side gain such an easy advantage in a hostage exchange?

I thought the finale was actually pretty decent, although I'm one to look for plot holes. The whole notion of the bad guys stranding themselves on an oil rig owned by the head bad guy while not having immediate transportation out of there was kind of stupid. It seemed like the chinese guy didn't arrange transportation to pick them up until after they had the boy, and only then it was going to be 20 minutes before they got there. Oh well, I guess that's what happens when you forget to call the taxi. :)

They explained it briefly...if people don't remember it, it's because they're not fans :p
