Hello....I want to recharge the toner in my HP 1100 laser toner cartridge.
Can anyone recommend:
1-a reliable and easy way to make a hole in the cartridge and the location of the hole.
2-a URL for cheap but high quality toner powder charge.

I am on a limited budget and need a cheap toner recharge method/source.

Thank you.

I seriously hope u are joking. In case not, allow me to explain:
Toner Cartridges come in two sorts: Original/OEM ones that CANNOT
be refilled unless convertet via a special machine that u probably do not have. They then become the second type: REFILLABLE ones. These
are bought from other sources then HP(in your case) and are often
developped in accordance with the company. Those cartidges can be refilled. This means you sent these in and they will give you another one, depending on your contract.

Example: You buy a refillable cartridge with 3 refills. This means
you buy MORE expensive then a single original, but are still cheaper then 4 original-

I know this because a family member has been working in this buisiness
for 11 years.

IT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA TO CUT A HOLE IN THE CARTRIDGE. You may damage your printer if toner gets to areas where it does not belong. Since the 1100 series is very easily damaged(Very high Repair rate/service rate) I suggest u either buy an original toner cart or you buy a one use cart compatible that maybe cheaper then HP.

only trying to help---

One more issue, all toner powder is not created equal. Some is by design, more abrasive. Doesn't cause a problem if the machine is designed for this type but it destroys machines that are designed for the less abrasive powder. I do mean destroy, never could get a Panasonic laser to work again after this stuff. Be very careful.

I've had bad experiences with the refilled ones... my last one the casing was actually loose and toner was falling into the drum, so i was getting huge smudges. I took out the toner and it was falling apart, not even half used.
