Tomtom compare to other GPS

I have a go 300. Works ok i guess, just wish theyd update the freakin maps more often.

They are the 'popular' choice, but I went with Belkin and it hasn't dissapointed me yet after 30+ GPS trips.

i REALLY liked mine, thought it was quite good, but then it broke on its own (screen prob). so i guess as long as it's functional, it's a great unit. (especially liked all the different voices, the fast updating of the 3-d maps)

I use v3 with an iPaq 2210, and I love it.

I'd like newer maps, but apart from that, it's fantastic. The newer version of TomTom, v5, sucks hardcore. v3 was a lot better. The only good thing is that the map updates a lot quicker with v5.

I like the TomTom GO because it calculates routes faster than other GPSes I tried and therefore can recalculate on the fly nicely when you're in a jam. The user interface is a lot simpler than other devices, it contians a seamless map of the entire US, and the voice/speaker is great. You can also mod the TomTom a lot easier to add POIs, voices, images, and such really easily.
