sure they are cpu bound when your cpu is that freaking slow. I have an Atom cpu and it is a joke for anything more than basic web usage.

The E-350 is not a poor mans rig by any measure when you can get an AMD dual core with a low end GPU for about the same price. I have read that review and think it is just to make some sort of comparison of the overall performance between the Atom and the Zacate rather than to test on gaming performance. Games are there as a yardstick so to speak.

Average and min. benchmark:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-e-350-atom-d525-nvidia-ion-2,2905-19.html

Interesting difference between average and minimum for the atom ion2 vs. e350 platform. There seems to be a lot of cpu bound games. But for the poor man, who can only afford the old cheap games :) - there is a lot of good old games out there

I think that things will really start to get interesting when the next generation of these chips comes out. According to Semiaccurate, Wichita has taped out already.

These should bring further improvements, first because of the die shrink, and second because it will use Northern Islands for graphics. I'm also interested in what kind of performance we can expect out of Krishna, which will offer 4 CPU cores.

its fun to see the E-350 play some of the newest games, lowest resolutions, at 1024x720 res, and get like 25-30 fps.

lmao :)

Lord of the Rings Online at 40+ fps hahaha.
Fallout 3 ~36 fps, HAWX ~40 fps.

not bad for a cpu/gpu that uses less than 18watts.

Their selection of games, although a huge list, is worthless for this test.
