I just got a 850W "Silver" yesterday dagnabit! :colbert: I'll be in last place!

Well I'm happy for now. Pd. $80 brand new.
My S12D 850W been humming along quite well for the last 1.5 year that I had it. And, it helped my MSI GTX460 clocked in at 1011mhz, as well as my Phenom II 940 at 3.6 ghz.

Perhaps next built will be a Seasonic platinum PSU.

I have to give it to PSU manufacturers. They keep reselling the same tech in new packages and people buy it up. PSU tech hasn't changed in years but people still fall for the, it is new so it must have something special .

LIES heathen! Everyone knows a uber-expensive kilowatt PSU makes your computer magically runs faster and makes it more stable than the quantum fluctuations of your PC!

PSU tech hasn't changed in years?

A few years ago PSU's averaged 70% efficiency. Now nearly every one is at least 80+ certified and some are 95+ certified.

That's reselling the same old tech?

Does the 860 platinum replace the x-850 power supply? Seems like it will. If so maybe we can pick up a good deal on the x-850?
