I still have all of his correspondence. I have the "temporary" contract that never was signed. I still have the bills I had to carry for THG that sometimes went well above $10,000 and which I had to wait months and months for reimbursements.

But there were at times humorous moments. Although there was certainly an element of terror, I'll never forget riding in Tom's S-Class Mercedes and watching him drive like a maniac, frightening pedestrians and running over every curb in sight.

Oh, and Tom in his silk pajamas smoking French cigarettes telling sex stories at 3 AM in the Grand Hyatt-Taipei... Was that a pass, Tom? You really creeped me out that night, which is why I ran out of your room"

Have had a pretty sick mental image of Tom ever since I read Van's postings, Anand is just boring till he does some controversial stuff😉

I dont take much on the conclusions in his reviews but I do enjoy reading them, expecialy since they have all this technical info you dont see anywhere else

i just go to toms to see what new hardware is released, not for reviews because they are biased

I used the really, really old AT review on the Abit AX5 to purchase one. This was many moons ago. I think the site was on Tripod or something back then. I got the link from a friend.

When Anandtech started to get big, I started reading it and realized that the guys knew what they were talking about. There were no angry or smart remarks on the site. Just the facts.

Tom's and HardOCP can't say that. I don't trust them at all.

i go to toms more, they have more reviews of more stuff. i think anandtech used to keep up with em, but no more.

His charts are usually pretty accurate. It's the writing that sometimes doesn't match. Others do the same thing <cough>MaximumPC<cough>.

I visit there occasionally, but usually to get at some of his charts. 😀
