[Tom's]290's can actually get chilly!

Its a 12% increase from stock to 1.15GHz with the expensive aftermarket cooler.

20% would require probably 1.25GHz which looking at the results so far seems a bit on the optimistic side given R290s need for power.

R9 290s OC >>>> 780Ti OC by 50-60%.

I'm assuming you mean CF. I'm skeptical about this though. 290CF will definetly beat a 780ti by a healthy margin, but I doubt there will be any OC headroom to play with, unless you have a massive tower and enough room between PCI slots for aftermarket fans not to kill each other with heat.

Is there going to be an aftermarket blower design for people who want to do CF?
