Tomorrows $150 Best Buy Emachines - AGP?

I'm tempted to go camp out in the cold for a few hours to snag one of these - but if it isn't going to have an AGP or PCI-E slot at least, then I don't think I'll waste my time.

Anybody know for sure one way or the other?

What are the general specs? If it is a celeron probable not, but most lower end AMD machines will have a AGP port.

i'm thinking no. those machines are low-end with onboard graphics. i am doubting they would spend the extra money to put agp or pci-e slots onto that barebone system. of course, this is just my opinion and i could be wrong.

A gaming machine for my little brother; he doesn't play many high-end games, but his 1.3 ghz, 32 meg card machine is really showing its age. Plus I want the 17" monitor that comes with it, since mine recently died.

I think the best PCI card one can get is an FX5700 LE or Radeon 9250, neither of which are all that great; I was hoping to get him something along the lines of a Radeon 9600 or better.

EDIT: It's also worth noting that I have a gig of ram lying around that I'll be putting into the rig.

its prolly a decent system for web browsing and word processing. def not a power users rig.

is ur bro's machine upgradable? i really doubt that $150 machine is gonna have much potential as a gamer machine.

His main goal is playing WoW... I have a room mate who plays WoW on a 2.8 ghz celeron with 512 megs of ram and an FX5200, and I'd like to get his running a bit better than hers 😛

I also have a very small budget to do this with.

He got his at a BF sale a few years ago - 1.3 ghz celeron, no AGP either, old SD ram.

Considering AGP is now a generation behind, I don't see why not.

BTW, my family has had many e-machines. They have never been a problem, and they are pretty cheap.

Why not go to the horses mouth?

You'll see it does come with crappy onboard graphics. But it has a PCIe slot.
Aside from that its actually a decent gaming rig.

They also have:
http://e4me.com/products/products.html?prod=eMachines_T3104
which is a mediocre system all around with an AGP slot. But I cant see anyone doing serious gaming with this. As a kids or office machine its pretty damn good, and an awesome price. This is probably the system BB is selling for dirt cheap.

good luck getting it, I'm leaving in an hour or two to drive 60 mi to the nearest BestBuy to camp in the parking lot. 'night ATOT.

You're gonna have to be a little more specific. Am I sure how?
I dont know which computer Best Buy is selling, I was just taking a guess.

But the model numbers you see on the website are all accurate, the problem is they dont sell direct. You have to search around for them at a BB, CC or CompUSA.
