Hi,

Say what you will:

I WROTE Server 2003 and I never finished sixth grade

I work for MS, I party with Billy G and he says "MCSE...I wipe my @ss with those Certs!!!!

It's worthless...

I care not. Tomorrow I start class 2278, Planning and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure . 🙂

I am actually going to the classes, as opposed to just buying the books and testing. (crapshoot)

In my experiences, my A+ and Network+ certs have gained me a modicum of respect. The fact that I've used Server 2000 for the past three years and have a fairly decent knowldege of how to set up DHCP/DNS/Exchange help too.

Certs are not worthless. I am planning for the future. Once you get a "MCSE" in "something" each successive MS OS requires one lousy test to get certed in that OS...that's what I'm doing...or planning/hoping to do.

Thanks for listening.

Certifications have certainly helped me in my IT career. I'd never be where I am today without them.

Good luck! 🙂 Let me know if you need any advice.
