This forum mostly and my own a priori knowledge.
This forum, which is comprised largely of words in posts, and links to other sites with articles and videos, and your previously obtained knowledge, which did not come from reading and/or education?

I mean I was not educated or read much on Libertarianism. I was simply born this way.

I get my news mostly from this forum. I do not actively seek news. I happened across a study saying that exposure to 3 minutes or more of news a day that people will rate their day as unhappy compared to those who do not expose themselves to news. So with that in mind, I actively try and stay ignorant of the topics that I talk about, if only to help the people here see that there is another way.

I do applaud you for boldly admitting that you're ignorant of everything you talk about here.
You'll pardon me if I think being willfully ignorant is not an ideal way to go through life.

Basically all you do every day is acknowledge how incredibly impotent you are by letting things affect you that you have no control over. Not saying you personally, I don't think you are one of the people who get real caught up in policy or Trump news, but that is what most of P&N is.

Think about how many people are bothered here by the fact that Trump is President. Every day they wake up is another day he's President, and another day they are upset about him being President, and yet they can do nothing to change it. They have made themselves prisoners by their constant ruminating. I see people post threads 5-10 times a week about the same shit, I doubt its doing any real good for their health to get it off their chest, because it keeps happening, over, and over, and over.

Ruminating is generally considered unhealthy because you are not able to find or enact a resolution to help cure it. I liken it to when a dog will lick a wound to heal it, but instead keeps it open and makes it worse. Most people here are just dogs licking their wounds and getting themselves infected.

weak people that have given up will say such things. I think Nixon's corpse would sure love a world where "no one could do anything to change" the reality of his presidency.

Okay, so if you take the handful of reporters and staffers that actually broke the watergate scandal, and compared it against the number of people terribly upset that he was President and wished they could have done something, would those be odds that you would bet your happiness on?

I'd argue that people who understand where to find happiness will ALSO say such things. I only live once, so I figure I might as well extract maximum joy from my life here and not waste it by being upset.

And soon as the Muslims stop handing over truckloads of oil money to the Libs, they will turn their hate and intolerance to Islam. The Dims tried using Russia to help them oppose Reagan, then the Clintons got money from China, and then they were back to Russia with Obama, and now they have moved on to the Muslim world. So stop with the Dimocrat company line about how the meany Repubs hate Islam.
Please provide us the contact info of your patents. It's time to petition them to pull the plug from your vent already. Your brain is clearly dead. Time to terminal ween and call Gift Of Life...

Catholic countries are always pro life, women if raped still have to give birth, because child is a gift from God, no matter how you got pregnant.

Mexico, Brazil, Philippines... and their crime rates are just - horrible.

Really don't understand Republican's stiff pro life stance.
While I wish the 'selective big-gov' strawman was less real, I can tell you this with confidence: People who are truly mortified by abortion (not sheep addicted to outrage) oppose it 100% from defense of the unborn, not for some vengeance toward the mother. It would be a strawman to say, 'duh, it's a fact that life begins at conception' because everyone knows this, and that's not what people mean (outside nutjobs) when they say it. The consensus concept of official 'personhood' seems to be 'at viability', and at that point most people agree that all women have rights to their body, even those women still in the womb. Pro-life advocates have varying convictions as to when the unborn deserve personhood.
That part, at least, is as simple as that.
Even though this is just an explanation to a genuine question (I know you're a smart guy), unfortunately this is as close to rational discussion that will ever happen outside PM's here and and further polite convo will be summarily drowned out.
Flame on :(

I'm sure once all those rich black people stop paying the liberals they'll start opposing civil rights just like conservatives.

Not terribly convincing that someone of your intellect somehow derived all the "positive/negative liberty" libertarian talking points independently. It's a pretty contrived rhetorical argument that only works in a fairly specific cultural milieu.

It's called bathroom thoughts. Concocted both on the toilet and in the shower.

And in all honestly, show me a system that "works" and doesn't require a specific cultural milieu. Mr. Bigwords.

Sure, totally believable you and every other wannabe libertarian just happen to concoct the exact same talking points independently, same as every conservative who proclaim to never read fox/breitbart but can be reliably counted on to recite the front page.

It's pretty evident that western liberalism works outside just the few enlightenment countries, in contrast to just the american conservatives dreaming about freedumb on the shitter.
