I've never had a game that gave me so many problems out of the box. Not even BF2. The main thing that's driving me nuts is a static sound that echos in a lot and then echos back out. It really is annoying. Has anyone else had these kinds of problems with this game? I downloaded one of the patches for it, the latest one, as well as the newest drivers I could find for my soudblaster and nothing has fixed it. Any suggestions?

Hmm, are there any in-game settings for sound where you coould turn down the sound effects or frequency range as a temporary fix? (I.e. usually at 44hz, so possibly try at 22hz?)

I played it on my rig which was :
Amd 64 3200 Winchester
1gb dual ch
6600GT 128mb
creative sound blaster live 24bit

I played the demo for very little time. But I don't remember an such problem.

I played it on 10X7 MAX next gen off. It ran perfect. I ran it on the same settings with 12X7 but then it wasn't that good, but it was still smooth, i prefer 10X7 MAX next gen off

Maybe through my sound card. I'll try something of the sort.

That's why I played this on the PS2. Beat the crap out of it. 100% of the artifacts found. All of the time trials except the last two levels done.
I'll have to check it out , because for years , games like this , I've always left to play on the console.
I think I'll finish the last two time trials tonight. Unlock the swimsuit , and the bikini.
