Tomb Raider compound bow question

I got the compound bow but I cannot climb surfaces with it. If I shoot the rope arrow into a climbable rock surface, Lara just pulls and then nothing - even if I'm close to a rope pillar where she usually fixes the rope to.

In particular I mean this location. I would like to get across, but don't know how.

Hmm maybe you're glitched? The bow shouldn't matter as long as a pillar is present.

You have to be next to be standing next to a post that Laura can wrap the rope around once it's in the rock. I don't see a post next to you.

edit: oh, and grab those eggs on the roof of that shack. It's a fetch achievement and you get rewarded for it, if you find them all.

You cant use the rope there, as there is no post. You probably have to climb from the bottom or come from a different direction.

Yep as people pointed out; without a post; you can't make a rope bridge 🙂

I don't like these kinds of games and I actually really liked this one so I'd say yes it exceeded my expectations. It definitely has a cinematic feel to it that adds to the enjoyment and the gameplay is solid. My complaints would be that combat was on the easy side and all the optional items you can find (and there are tons) don't give in game benefits other than achievements and completion %. I like when all optional crap adds to gameplay in some way.
