Tomb Raider - bad movie

I may rent this on DVD eventually just for fun, but when it comes to globe-trotting action movies I'll take mine shaken, not stirred. Plus, the new Indiana Jones will be out in a couple years. >>

This post has to be a joke. The first Batman was one of the worse movies and biggest disappointments in history. Larry KIng called it the most perfect movie ever made. You may know I loath anything Larry King has ever said but you are entitled to your opinion.

As far as the critics are concerned, the more they dislike a movie, the more I want to see it.

Personal preference issue I guess. She's certainly a nice looking girl, but she doesn't do THAT much for me personally. Now the guy in the office next to mine would trade his house for an evening with her.

i had no doubt that it would suck. This year is shaping up to be one suck ass year for movies. I haven't went to any since Hannibal, but three of the big ones this summer sure have a high suckage factor.

The movie was ok for what it was, a video game made into a movie. When it was over the guy behind me said &quot;That sucked, Indiana Jones is so much better!&quot; WTF. It was funny cause people who expect something like that will hate it.

Its one of the best done video game to movie genres ever and thats all :Q

+ you get Angelina Jolie who is stunning...

shrek was ok. the early part of the summer season has so far been lousy, at least with
mainstream hollywood. 'sexy beast' received excellent reviews. by i haven't been
disappointed yet. most of the failures were easy to predict. 'fast and the furious'
looks to outdo all the others in mindless nonsense - the trailer reeks.

i wont be disappointed until 'ai', planet of the apes, or one or two others sink.
'ai' premieres in two weeks.

I thought Shrek was absolutly hilarious. When you go to shrek just sit back and relax, and enjoy. If you did not find Eddie Murphy hilarious in that movie I'm sorry but I dunno get something checked.

I highly suggest you see Shrek

Tomb Raider was pretty bad but it didn't matter cause of Angelina .. I'll probably rent the DVD when it comes out and just pause it when she slips off her robe ...

I went to watch Tomb Raider when it came out on Friday. GREAT MOVIE!
Lots of cool action. And the nice thing is that it follows the game series. If your expecting a movie which just kicks the bad guy's butt, then obviously you don't know the game series.

I like it when a movie inspired from a computer game actually follows the right type of storyline.

One movie which did that but missed a few things was Wing Commander.
I really wanted to see cats in there, I was disappointed in that issue.

Ok lets look at this movie carefully. This was not a serious flick... this was not a Matrix, or a Saving Private Ryan... it was fun action... lots of cool jumping and kicking and flipping... and of course Angelina Jolie with her high beams on.... Thats all it was meant to be... the directors and producers never intended to nor indicated that it would be anything more. In that sense Tomb Raider was fantastic... I felt fully satisfied that I got everything I came for... for those of you complaining that they were just capitalizing on the games assets... well yes of course they were... but they never gave any indication that they were doing anything less.... it was made for the gamers.. and it appeased damn well.

I never have understood the big to-do with Angelina Jolie.. IMHO she's really not that attractive (nah, not jealous)...and breasts don't do it for me, being heterosexual and female. Most of the other girls I've asked feel the same way.

I agree that AJ ain't all that. As far as video games being made into movies and sucking, there's not a person here that can honestly say that they didn't love the Street Fighter live action thriller!!

My wife for example, walks into a movie thinking what she heard is justifiable opinions. she HATED 'the generals Daughter' I loved it. Becuase she had read one review that said that it was slow moving and predictable. Well DUH so is law and Order but she will watch Law and Order all day on one of our 300 Cable channels.

As many people have stated before me. When it comes to movies. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
