We just saw this at a preview, and it's not worth the price of admission, even if that price is zero, as it was for us. The plot is predictable, the characters colorless, the action scenes dull, and I've seen better fighting...everywhere else.

I'd go just to see Angelina Jolie run around and fire guns and other high tech weapons. :)

That's enough motivation for me.......

It probably does suck ass but then again, when I read the reviews on the people who previewed American Beauty,
They said it was about, "a Child rapist living next to two queers." <-- LOL
And the preview reviews on fight club were fairly similar.
"It's about some guy (whose name is never said) who is almost as confused as the movie's plot" <-- riiiiiiiiight
hehe, to this day, Fight Club and American Beauty are my two favorite movies

I don't doubt that tomb raider is a horrid movie but I also believe that one should never have a closed mind when walking
into a movie theater... otherwise, why go?

I knew it was going to be crappy from the first moment i heard they were making the movie. NO comic book or game adaptation has ever been good except for the first Batman.

x-men was very good yes.
who cares if tomb raider isnt the greatest movie out there, its not trying to be.
Its not lik other movies that will get nominated for so many awards, its just on the entertainment side of the spectrum.
so if you go and see it just watch it for the entertainment value.

x-men wasn't bad? Oh my!

My kids are more excited to see Jurassic Park III which surprises me, being the video game hounds they are.

X-Men was very poor... They really skimped out on the quality of acting.

I'll probably catch Tomb Raider just because there are no other movies out. Kind of like why I watched Mortal Kombat. It was terrible, but there was nothing better to dto.

That sounds like the review I gave for Driven. How does the two compare? Driven was horrid...

um, you could go out and search for that elusive thing called a life. ;-) Of course, I saw Mortal Combat for the very same reason and will probably see Tomb Raider also for that same reason............sigh.......

Then obviously you haven't seen Superman. Or Blade. Or The Crow.

Well unless you are either a massive fan of the game (which IMO was extremely dull) or a fan of Angeline Jolie I don't see how you could get too pumped up about it. If you're just going to catch Jolie in some skimply clothes it seems like a weak justification since there are plenty of hot women out there in other movies and TV shows. It hardly seems worth it to pay $7+ just to see a good-looking girl faking an accent (pet peeve of mine.) I may rent this on DVD eventually just for fun, but when it comes to globe-trotting action movies I'll take mine shaken, not stirred. Plus, the new Indiana Jones will be out in a couple years.

Hehe. I wish I had one off the top of my head and don't have time to find one right now. Try finding something about it on Google. I'd heard rumors in various forums and on some entertainment websites, but I was skeptical until I heard Harrison Ford himself confirm it on the show "Inside the Actor's Studio" on Bravo. He said there will indeed be a 4th film (based 10+ years after the last one to correspond with aging.) He even mentioned that they'd like to work Connery into it again if possible. But at the time he said that they (meaning himself, Spielberg and Lucas) were still trying to workout the storyline with writers. Until they all agree on the story it won't happen, but given the closeness of the three I'm assuming they'll get it worked out. Sorry for the tangent, just FYI.
