WTF? Have any of you heard af the tomato shortage?
I went to Wendy's and they had a sign that said if you want tomatos in your sandwich, you have to request it. It went on to say that there was a tomato shortage due to the cold weather.

One of the girlfriends and I saw that same sign at Wendy's on the way to Six Flags (Magic Mountain) last year... that would have been late 2004.

A second winter of tomato shortages, or a conspiracy by Wendy's to keep all the tomatos for themselves??!

Wife and I went to Wendy's last week and they asked if we want tomatos. We told them "of course".

At least they didn't charge extra.

I was just at the supermarket and when I was buying tomatoes, there was a sign explaining the price increase was due to the hurricane.

Most of these shortages are BS.
I worked in a grocery store in HS and I remember having to put up signs saying "lettuce shortage, so price will be..." Yet we could order as much lettuce as we want and sometimes then even shipped us extra as they had too much at the warehouse.
Happened like every year on at least 1-2 items per season. Yet we never ran out or were told to order less.

I saw the same sign at a Wendy's near McGuire AFB on Sunday. When I ordered my Jr. BC I asked for it with tomato, and the lady looked at me like I had 10 heads saying it already came with tomato. "Did I want it without tomato?" Sigh...
