Wow! Impressive N17M! If they can just get market acceptance (shouldn't be a problem) N17M should do in Mobile what nVidia has done in Desktop. I like the Memory on-chip. That would make a nice Mobile nForce! Don't look now, but nVidia may be becoming the next Microsoft. I think that Tom was dead on when he said that N17M has done to Comdex what nForce did to Computex.

lmao..

This year we were able to get appointments with pretty much anyone that we wanted to see, in fact so many folks wanted to see us that we're not going to get around to seeing everyone we would have liked.

btw, if that NV17M has the same amount of memory bandwidth as the Geforce 3 Ti 500, we should expect performance similar to the Ti500 from this chip.. that is unless they reduced the number of operating pipelines or something dumb like that.

<< I guess the Radeon 7500 Mobility might as well not exist!) >>

Radeon 7500 was announced 3 months ago, we all know it's specs and how it performs. Interesting to note to no OEM's have yet to choose this part. High end desktop replacement models from major OEM have GF2GO, while mid and low end completely dominated by ATI.

Nvidia is a newcomer to mobile industry. But in just 6 months, they captured 8% of the market, and now in the second place after ATI. I'd say that's a nice start :)

i'm not sure what type of R&D dept. nvidia has, but it seems fairly competent...these mongrels are starting to dominate mobile, desktop graphics, pc core logic, console core logic...what's next???..can anyone guess?

i suppose they could even come out w/ audio cards based on their MPU...but i doubt that...

they might as well start making over-priced cpus as well...what the hell.
