Yesterday after watching what i thought was going to suck hard core, Terminal, I realized something....

Tom Hanks is probably the best actor out there. Everything I can thing of that he was in he sold the role of his character! Thinking of the different roles he has had from cast away to philadephia to forest gump...just unbelievable how well he sells his roles! /discuss

I could not agree more.
Plus, i admire him for his marriage with Rita Wilson for so long.
He is extremely talented!

Yeah, he's on my top favorite actor list. Michael Caine is up there too- he sucks you into anything he's in. I really enjoyed him and Nicholas Cage in The Weather Man.

I used to like Tom Cruise too, until he fired the publisist that was keeping him under control and he unleashed his bizzaro self on the world.

I don't follow the media attention he's getting. I couldn't really care less if he was technically insane, as long as he's still a good actor. I remember him in Far and Away; good movie.

He was referring to Tom Cruise. 😉

Tom Hanks is great. That other Tom doesn't even belong in this thread. Hanks is probably one of the greatest actors ever.

What about sleepless in seattle? what about Catch Me if you Can... so many movies...

Seriously the WORST movie I have ever seen. I'd never walked out on a movie in the theater before I went and saw this. And I like both Michael Caine (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is awesome) and I love cage.

Weather Man was piss poor. I didn't believe any of the acting, and there were more gratuitous and unnecessary sexual references in that movie than any other I've seen. It was appalling. There were people laughing at certain parts just because it made them uncomfortable...weak movie.

I heard he's working on the seceond series of Band of Brothers with a emphasis on the Pacific campaign. Anyone know when this will be completed?

Ya, he has had a wide variaty of movies, from action to chick flicks. My personal favorites have been Saving Privan Ryan, Big, Forrest Gump, and Joe vs. the Volcano.

The Money Pit is his best movie.

I wouldn't call it his best movie... but it definitely had his funniest scene. That part when he was standing over the hole where his bath tub used to be and just starts laughing psychotically... Classic.

We can fix that in about 6 weeks...

He is a very good actor, however, I think Morgan Freeman is the most skilled actor alive today. That being said, Clint Eastwood has always been my favorite. (As long as I can remember at least)

haha that's true. i loved his acting in mission impossible

I have said this before as well. WHen you try and think of some of the best actors that have done A LOT of movies Tom Hanks is up there. He aslo gets a lot of respect from me cause there is never really anything bad about him in the news and he seems like a nice guy.
