Did it strike a nerve? Did you buy a POS house? You're nuts, movie's a riot.

Its ok for what it is (which is to say a light-hearted stupid silly 80s PG movie). Its for the type of people that would enjoy movies like The Pacifier (? that one where Vin Diesel is like a babysitter or something? Or those movies where they have the family with like 20 kids).

gee welcome to almost 20 years ago..

I think you mean 30...

you lie, OP. The Money Pit rocks. In fact, any 80's pre-serious Hanks rocks.

I like most of those 80s comedies. Even the relatively bad Michael Keaton ones. Mr. Mom and Gung Ho FTW.

*facepalm*

Forgive him Ceiling Cat, for he knows not what he says.

I think even Tom Hanks hates that movie. I gave it a shot once, made it about 15min in before calling it quits, out of respect for Hanks. Just can't do it - I refuse to sully the mental image the man who gave us Saving Pvt Ryan and Castaway.

Money Pit was alright, perhaps uncomfortable for anyone who has dealt with a problem house before though.

Oh and you can fuck off about those corks too. I was young, desperate, needed the money! Who are you to judge?! I never forced those corks to do anything they didn't want to ok?
