What a fscking Homer. I'm a Pats fan myself and I think Brady has the potential to be one of the greatest but to declare that now only demonstrates your ignorance.

What are you, retarded? Can you read? I said SECOND BEST. People are already comparing him to Montana. How long have you been a pats fan, a couple years?

Or Marino, or some of the "older players" like Bart Starr etc.

What about (the Snake) Stabler, Staubach, Tarkinton. Is he in their class or better?

Since moving here 3 years ago and the demiise of the 49ers. Unlike you I've seen a lot of great QB's play so I have a more realistic and objective opinion.

I'm not saying that up to this point Brady hasn't been great because he has but it's way to premature to say he's the second greatest of all time and he'd be the first to agree with that.

I'd agree with montana being no.1 but brady being 2nd is crazy.

How can you argue with 3 SB Rings and 2 Super Bowl MVP awards?
Kurt Warner has two NFL MVPs, one SB MVP and a ring. So he's not too far behind Brady?

oops...

Brady is great, could be among the greatest, he still has years left to play.

You forgot to mention that he is also one of the best looking QBs ever!

I would call 2 more rings and another MVP nod, as well as reaching Brady's Postseason winning percentage quite a hurdle, but that's just me!

You are the fool who can't read. No where in his post does he indicate that you said anything other than second best. No need to fly off the handle just because not everyone is blowing Brady like you are.

4 Super Bowl rings. (Bradshaw)

That's the goal, isn't it ? What other QB has 4 ?

John Elway had 47 and arguably the greatest comeback EVER. Dan Marino had 37.
Oh and the "impressive" overtime victories is overvalued because the defense had to hold the other team (in games where Pats didn't get the ball first in OT.).

Although Brady is ranked higher than Marino in this article by S.I., the author clearly states how many rings a QB has is his major reason for picking Bradshaw over Staubach. Take with a grain of salt.
His list:
Most Clutch QB's of All Time.
10. Bradshaw
9. Aikman
8. Otto Graham (1946-1955)
7. Marino
6. Namath
5. Bart Starr
4. Brady
3. Elway (awesome pic)
2. Unitas
1. Montana

Kelly nor Marino got the ring. But they are far better than Brady. Just b/c you have a ring doesn't mean you are great. Lets look at Brad Johnson...he has a ring is he better than Marino and Kelly?

Brady isn't even the #2 QB in the league.

There's a HUGE difference between being the greatest QB and being a great QB on an awesome team.

Yeah. Shoot, the 3rd string qb (if they had one) has a ring from the superbowl. Does that make him better than a whole bunch of the truly great qb's of all time??

Or how about this......Bob Griese, quarterback of the Miami Dolphins during the NFL's ONLY undefeated season, has a ring. Not sure if he got MVP or not, but I'd say with an undefeated season, he has a greater accomplishment than Brady has managed, right? :D

So does Jim McMahon, and I wouldn't put him in the top 1000 QB's. He was a smart QB who basically didn't turn over much and let the defence win the game.

Edit: well that and handed the ball to one of the best Running backs ever.

Gonna have to agree with that. However all this talk about superbowl mvp is getting old, anyone can ride the coat tails of a good team, cough dough williams cough kurt warner cough. Im not saying they were decent qb's, but it takes more than that. Not alot of respect for marino in here, kinda sad. As of right now, there are alot of other qb's that i would put higher than brady.
What would happen if he was on a sh1t team? No mvps or rings, tell you that much right now.

I can't take anything away from Marino's performance on the field even though i hate the guy. But i don't put him up here just for how he was off the field. I know from experience the guy is an A$$hole. Kelly on the other hand does things for his community and look what hes been doing for his son (who passes away btw). And sure this doesn't mean anything on the field but i put Kelly Marino and Elway in the same league so im using that to seperate them. Kelly-Elway-Marino in that order for me.

Why must you make me, the simple Browns fan, cry? Is it not enough that drive is constantly shown on ESPN networks?

Maybe he isn't #1 or #2 based on numbers, but, unlike Peyton, he has delivered the Patriots three championships.

I'll Agree that Peyton crapped out the last few years when his team needed him the most. I also agree that Brady has been very clutch for the pats.

However, I have a feeling that neither will have a good year. Both teams have lost way too much talent in the last couple of years.

As of now i'd put Brady at #10 all time...to put him anywhere near #2 all time before his career is finish is insane and reeks of homerism....here are the QB's i'd take over him as of now...Montana, Young, Elway, Farve, Aikman, Starr, Bradshaw, Marino, Kelly, Staubach and then Brady...
