Brings to mind a lot of platitudes about how money and success do not always lead to happiness. Sad to see.

Tom Brady has to have a drive to succeed in sports that is so extreme that we mere mortal (couch potatoes) cannot begin to comprehend. It sounds as if he understood that divorce was a possibility when he unretired. I will be very surprised if he decides to retire now.

And now the Great Brady-family-as-Florida-man-divorce meme saga begins!

I suspect Antonio Brown is part of the reason.

The meltdown resalted Tom's wounds anew, and Tom wants another Super Bowl to prove to Brown he didn't need Brown. And Tom is at fault because he WAS desperate for Brown and showed it.

The game itself is Tom's real wife.

Tom pushed for AB quite a bit against the initial wishes of management and Bruce Arians. Eventually, Tom got what he wanted and AB was a part of the team.

I speculate that he wanted AB back when he was in NE too.

Sephiroth's quote applies to Tom's ego and mindset: "I will never be...a memory".

Football will always be Tom's wife AND life.

AB has a few screws lose in his head due to concussions
Brown was a live-in resident of the Brady Household for the year+ that they were on good terms.

I suspect Brady listened to the clippings and Brown has joined the many other on Brady's "hit list" as yet another salty wound.

TAMPA — Antonio Brown said Friday that his friendship with Tom Brady is based on the fact that he could help the future Hall of Fame quarterback win football games.

Appearing on the Full Send Podcast, the former Bucs receiver called Brady the team’s “GM” and a “politician” and wondered why Brady never threw him the football as much as Ben Roethlisberger did when Brown played in Pittsburgh.

“Tom Brady is the general manager,” Brown said. “He’s the guy my agent made the contract with, he’s the middle man and a politician.”

Brown stopped following Brady on Instagram this week. When asked why he said, “It’s nothing personal. Tom is actually my friend, one of my close friends ... Some people have a different definition of friend. Because when I say, ‘I’m your friend,’ that means I got your back. To me, though, that’s what a friend means.

“But a friend is not in this world and how we’re living. You know we’re playing professional sports. Not everybody in sports is going to be your friend. Tom Brady is my friend because I’m a good football player. He needs me to play football, right? These guys called me to win the Super Bowl, not for the Toilet Bowl.”

if you say so....seems rather odd considering all the super bowls he won with way less talented receivers, but you know what they say, haters gonna hate

she's getting $400m.

You sure she's the one getting the $400M? You do know Gisele's worth more than what Brady's worth, right? It's reported that individually, she's worth $400M and Brady's worth $250M. So who pays who?

A lot of people online can't seem to fathom that she makes more money than him. Obviously he's a man. They go as far into it as to say she's stopping him from providing for his family.

Heard they're both worth hundreds of millions, so I guess it's obvious that not hiring an attorney never comes to mind.

Uh no she isn't. She's worth 10x or more what Brady is worth. This divorce would have been about how much of her money Brady thinks he is entitled to.
Aren't pre-nuptials kind of baked into those kinds of marriages?
