As a kid I remember watching these cartoons and enjoyed every minute of it. I have fond memories watching them in the afternoon with my dad before he went to work (he worked the second shift at the time).

Now that it's available again uncensored and with all the "racial jokes" at the time that were over my head, its even more entertaining to me and provides a great insight to what was culturally the norm back in the 40's and 50's.

Even as a kid, I felt sorry for Tom. That bitch Jerry would always fuck shit up for Tom who's minding his own business (i.e. sleeping).

Looney Tunes were also racially insensitive but the norm at the time. It is interesting to watch these cartoons again, they are laced with references to war, Hollywood of the 40s and 50s, mobsters, and of course, societal norms from that time, they bring you back to a different time in American history for sure.

FRAK! $23 for just volume one! good god no. At least its the good early days tom and jerry. the later the decades, the worse it got.

Probably the most unfunny cartoon ever. I never could get into it. Tweety/Sylvester far outclassed T&J.
what?! i love T&J and looney tunes/ merrie melodies. they all have the same slapstick / violent humor. how can one like one but not the other? :\
