Just a suggestion to what works at our house.

Poor about a cup of bleach into toilet.. let sit for about 3 mins scrub ring, let sit, scrub untill its gone.
Be Carefull though, keep room ventilated and try not to get bleach on your skin wash it off ASAP if you do.

Edit: you want to use the powerfull stuff not the safe for colors stuff

From the coke vs water thread, read number 3 under coke Linkey

3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.

good lord, people still believe this?

1. there is no citric acid in coke.
2. if its citric acid that does it, throw a fuckin' lemon in the toilet.

Coke = carbonic acid.

As for the ring, but a lava stone at the 99c store for taking callouses off your feet. In high school I spent a summer as a janitor and that was the ultimate. It looks like it's leaving marks on the porcelain but those just wipe off.

get one of those effervescent tablets used to clean dentures. I have used it and it works great. Just drop two in at night and let stand till morning. This should do the trick.

Well, guys, once again your lack of life experience is showing.

Go to a hardware store and pick up a pumice scouring stick.

Very reasonable.

The one I use is Called a Pumie Heavy Duty Scouring stick and works great. The instructions are on the back of the box and it will not scratch the bowl no matter how hard you scrub.

When done, rinse it off and put it back in the box and save it.................

or........in traditional ATOT fashion, bring it back to the store for a refund saying that that's the way you got it.;)
