Toilet Paper Roll

I know I have issues and here is one of them. I cannot stand people who put the toilet paper on the roll so it feeds out from the top.

I hate when the rolls in the public dispensers are stacked on top of each other so that it wants to tear after every sheet.

No, Ausm is exactly right. From the bottom is the more efficient (in terms of energy used by me to tear off the paper), and thus correct way to dispense toilet paper. From the bottom, you can use the mechanical advantage of bracing your hand against the roll while tearing with your fingers.

I've got two kids, one is actively potty-training at the moment, and I still say top. The direction is pretty much irrelevant once they figure out how it works.

What confuses me are the people who always have to get out a new roll instead of using the one in the dispenser.

But then, some people have odd TP hangups. I know one woman who used to unroll the outer ten or twelve layers off the roll and discard them first, because someone else would have touched them. She also carried her own soap in a little plastic container, because who knows who might have touched the soap at other people's houses?

No no no. It is the opposite. Kids get their hands covered in sh!t and p!ss. Then as the bottom paper sits along the wall, yellowish brown stains appear right there. It is impossible for a kid to not brush their germ ridden hand along the wall. On top is far more sanitary. The only thing that is touched is the toilet paper itself.

I'm a top person for that reason. Same goes when you have a party and drunk friends.
