I was so sad when I first moved into my current apartment. For the first time ever every wireless network I could see was secured.
I was happy, and disappointed at the same time.

Why? Because stealing other peoples stuff makes you feel good?

It's wrong, it's illegal and this entitlement mentality has to stop.

I have unsecured versions of both netgear and linksys in range of my desk, definitely saved my ass when I first moved in. I'm pretty sure mine is the only secured network in the area, unless someone else is smart enough to disable SSID broadcasting.

IR idiot

Better to lose the street cred and say that they were "unsecured" than to admit to ____[I PLEAD THE 5th ]__________

It made me laugh.
I recently moved and I purposely bought a new wifi card that allows packet injecting :)

I'm seeing 19 WiFi access points in my condo complex right now, 3 of them unsecured. No need for a cantenna here! :)

I found plenty of unsecured networks driving on I-80 through Nebraska, but could never actually connect to any... moving at 65mph may have been a factor.

You probably shouldn't be on your laptop while you're driving. You don't actually need to spend every waking minute neffing on ATOT.

I wasn't actually driving, you dufus, I was in the passenger seat. I'd forgotten to download driver for my GPS dongle (took a different laptop) before we left so I figured I'd see if I could get it while we were on the road.

Besides, YOU drive across Nebraska and tell me how exciting it is ;)
