Big Rush fan but Tom Sawyer was never one of my favorite songs from them. Didn't much care for The Spirit of Radio either.

Geddy Lee's voice, I think, is the make or break factor in whether you like them or not. Many people couldn't take his voice but others, like myself, found so much to love about Rush that Geddy's voice didn't derail that.

I have about 12 Rush albums. They are one band you either love or hate -- not much in between with them...

I love all the lyrics from their songs and Neil Peart on the drums is icing on the cake.

I'd say you hit the nail on the head. I like the music but can't get past the voice.

Yeah Geddy's voice is the make or break factor. I actually think it enhances quite a lot of their songs, but I'm not always in the mood to listen to it.

But then there are other factors as well. Like most of the 90s stuff was just blah, and I could see some people hating a lot of their 80s stuff too. I haven't heard their most recent album (maybe even more than that, I think Snakes & Arrows was the last album of theirs I gave a serious listen to), and it's eh, I don't hate it and like some of the songs, but just doesn't have the character that their 70s and 80s stuff did.

Wasn't a huge RUSH fan until I saw them live. Went to the Clockwork Angels tour and was pretty much blown away.

Rush sucks...

Kreiger disagrees.

Can't wait to see Rush this summer, will be only my 2nd concert ever so I'm rather picky with who I go to see.

Seeing them for R40 in a few months...got 2 floor seats for that price during the pre-sale. Ouch at that price for nosebleeds (still worth it).

this is true and I always find it funny. people don't like it because its high pitched, yet they love Zepplin, where Plant sings just as high pitched
