Today's Dilbert

What do you mean not especially funny? That's hilarious.

Because it is dead on correct. What's worse is guys who clip out trade rag articles and put them in your inbox with a sticky.

Been there done that. Hit them with a quote for a couple hundred K in software/hardware, and they tend to lose enthusiasm real quick. 🙂

I'm doing that right now...my boss found out our UPS's should be replaced every 5-7 years. We have a LOT of them too 🙁

I guess I've been removed from the corporate world for too long. Or else I was pre-empting an invocation of oldsmoboat's law.

of course...if you've ever worked in IT in any aspect, it happens all the time. I'm sure it happens with other positions as well.

I find these comics to be very humorous jab at technology.

GRRRRR Label things NSFW if they're NSFW!!! -DrPizza
I'm thinking this one over, because I'm rather irritated to have something like that pop up on my school computer.

wow. didnt really think that link was NSFW as it's only a cartoon (the same type that Gatecrasher posted). but FWIW, sorry to all those people who got offended. link removed

We are going through it right now too!

This is really the story of every piece of technology. Manager goes to trade show or reads trade journal, drinks Kool Aid, comes back and says I want one of those, tasks IT monkey to do it then complains when it isn't done in a day and costs too much.

OK, I don't get it. Is Dilbert converting the physical servers to virtual servers or is he writing the software to do hardware virtualization?

I photoshopped my boss's head onto Dilbert's, and our Director's head on PHB, printed it out, and taped it under my boss's name plaque outside his cube. Hilarity is about to ensue 🙂

So you've met my boss?

Not writing the software, deploying vmware. That is not the point, the technology in question is not the focus.
