A 33-year-old Marietta man was killed and his wife was injured Thursday in a wreck on Ga. 400 at Exit 12 in Forsyth County.
Alhondro D. Hill of Windcliff Drive was killed instantly in the lunch hour wreck. Hill's wife of one month, Kimberly Ross Hill, 36, and the driver of another car were transported to North Fulton Regional Hospital in Roswell.
Forsyth County authorities did not know Kimberly Hill's condition, but said the other driver's injuries were serious.
Hill apparently stopped his 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass on Ga. 400 northbound in an attempt to exit onto McFarland Road, according to Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Traffic Specialist Cpl. Chris Shelton. A 2004 Ford Taurus driven by Dorothy Holman, 42, of Acworth, then struck Hill's car in the rear.
The collision pushed Hill's car into the next lane of traffic, where it was struck on the driver's side by an 18-wheeler carrying dry concrete mix.
Holman's car was then struck on the passenger side by a 1994 Ford F-250 pickup truck. The driver of this truck was identified as Robert David Gable of Clermont.
The driver of the concrete truck was identified as Everette Hensley, age 57, of Soddy Daisy, Tenn. The truck is owned by Startrans of Harleyville, S.C.
Neither truck driver was injured.
All lanes of Ga. 400 were closed temporarily.
No charges have been filed pending completion of the investigation.
According to the local airwaves, the guy stopped and backed up on 400 because he missed his exit.
And not to be morbid, but LMAO at the odds of getting hit by a cement truck while being stupid in traffic. 😛
