Gore's speech at Georgetown University has been wondrous, so far. It's very similar to editorials and articles we've been hearing from disenchanted Republicans who are tired of this administration's deception. Gore is really nailing Bush on the deception of the Iraq war intelligence and the move afterward to change the reason for the justification over and over again.

Bush, otoh, is in New Jersey (when's the last time he ever set foot there?) and is conjuring up images of burning towers and 9/11 fear-mongering. Of course, he's speaking to cherry-picked crowd of "loyalty oaths".

This is sad...all three cable news channels are covering Bush's campaign speech. Do they cover Kerry campaign speeches in full? No. Are they covering any of Gore's speech today? No. This is another hoodwinking like the "mulligan" speech Bush gave after his horrid performance in the 1st debate.

Gore talking now about the Bush White House pressuring GOP Senators to vote FOR the Medicare bill by holding the vote open for 3 hours beyond the deadline.

Bush/Cheney should be ASHAMED of themselves. This is TWICE they've masqueraded a campaign speech (which should be PAID FOR by the Bush/Cheney campaign) as a "policy speech". Well, if you define Bush's policy for the next 4 years as bashing Kerry, then, yeah, it's a policy speech.

Where's the EQUAL TIME for Kerry?

Ah...now they're covering Kerry. And he's ripping into Bush for not properly equipping our troops.

So much for fair. Right when Kerry goes into his plan, they cut away. The MSNBC reporter even mentioning Sen. "Kennedy's" speech.

Amazing.

No wonder people complain they don't know of Kerry's plan. The mainstream media doesn't give Kerry equal time.

In all honesty, that's probably a good thing for Kerry. I've read his "plans," several times each (the ones on his website.) There's not really a lot to them, other than feel-good, if-all-things-go-smoothly, ideas and conjectures. I think the "right-wing media" would tear them apart in a hearbeat.

I'd rather poke my eardrums out than have to listen to either of those crackpots!

Kerry did have a zinger about Bush/Cheney's love affair with Halliburton (Kerry is in FL, btw):

"If Halliburton made flu shots there'd be more flu shots here than oranges"

It's not hard to imagine as GWB thought he was debating Sen. Kennedy in the 2nd debate.

Here is what Kerry needs to drive home during this time frame.

Jobs - outsourcing. Slam GWB for his entire economic team (i.e Snow, Chao, Mankiw who believe that outsourcing is good for the US). Mention that GWB FIRED his first Treasury sec for telling him the truth about his tax cuts, budget but stands by his new sec. when Snow says he believes that job losses here in America are a myth and that the surpluses were a mirage.

Flu shots - GWB is so out of touch that in the third debate, he didn't know that a US based company outsourced the vaccine to England.

SS- Slam GWB for wanting to privatize SS. Blanket Florida and Ohio with this ad.

Draft - backdoor draft with reservists. GWB cannot have the endless war on terror that he wants except to bring back the draft masked as compulsory national service.

This election should be about GWB's sorry record and what he plans for the next four years. Do you know anything that he wants to do except MORE of the same? The "liberal" media isn't asking him any questions but happily cover all his campaign speeches attacking Kerry without giving near eqaul time to Kerry.

gore's a crybaby. Could you imagine if Mondale just started trashing Reagan after he won the Presidency saying he lied about Iran and all this stuff, and Bob Dole giving speeches calling Clinton and liar and stuff. He can't take the fact that he lost the election, and likes to bash Bush. He should be above that, but he obviously isn't.

Let's see. Cover the President for FREE on a campaign speech disguised as a "policy speech" and then cut off John Kerry early during his rally.

Hmmm...
