Today's Award for most overpriced computer goes to...

The 84" Microsoft Surface Hub, at $22,000!

When a computer costs as much as new Honda Civic, I'm expecting it to come with more than 8 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage.

Hell... at that price it should also have dual CPU's and a super fast discrete graphics card like a Titan X.

I'm having problems doing the math on this one... how does an $9,000 touch screen monitor with an embedded $1,000 PC equal $22,000?

I sure it has upgrades available as far as RAM and Memory.

How many people are going to buy a 84" touchscreen table for personal use in reality 🙂

It's just one of those things I don't worry about I suppose.

This one isn't the table model, this new model is meant for hanging on a wall in a conference room.

I mean, sure... the 84" touch screen makes up the bulk of the cost, but where do they get off doubling the cost of the screen just because they put a comparatively cheap PC in it?

Because the 84" touch screen 4K monitor (3840x2160) cost about $19,999, not $9.000. :whiste:

In June, Microsoft declared that the initial price of the 55-inch Surface Hub was of $6,999, while the 84-inch variant cost $19,999.

The cost is not really that high. The only other I can find like it is a Christie 84" 4K 10 point multi touch display for 13,000$ for just the screen, but the Surface Hub is 100 point, not even a competition between the two.

It has a gpu that is roughly equivalent to a GTX 750 ti, that has to be worth an extra grand!
