Today was day 1 of the US FIRST regional Competition
So here are a select few shots of the competition

Our bot has a 6 wheel design that is capable of 13 FT per second and the launcher on the cone shoots at near 250 Ib of pressure!
Oh by the way the blue\red ball weighs a little under 10Ib

well today started off horrible, we had problems with the fuse that was hooked to the motor that raised the arm
We started the day off with 3 losses then 3 wins then one loss and one win setting us up at 4 for 8
tomorrow morning we have another 2 matches, but we have noticed a lot of the top tier teams are really looking to choose us for the finals

Some of the early matches are bot's arm was workable and we lost due to penalties and things of that sort

Man, I remember doing that competition 9 years ago. Why did they move it out of Florida/Disney Land?

its regional now, i think nationals are held at the dome

It outgrew Disney. Now open registration for the championship is limited to about 100 teams, and everyone else has to qualify by winning a regional.

I loveeeee FIRST. My high school was always kind of lame at it, but my senior year we got it all together. Placed i think 12th in the end which was a pretty huge deal after making finals for the first time ever. We would have done better, but we got rammed pretty hard in some of the earlier rounds and lost a lot of mobility. GO TEAM 867!

congratulations on making the semifinals. I heard there was a lightening strike which affected the field and scoring.
