I am getting $349 as the lowest price. It includes a P4 as a free upgrade. Do you have to provide a specific E-Value code?

Though I know this has been asked many times before, what low-mid level 3D videocards can this system use? Only PCI ones, or does this have PCX?

As for the price, you need to go through the Outrageus Deals section to see this price.

The specs are on the the SC420 product page. 😛 http://www1.us.dell.com/content/product...aspx/pedge_sc420?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd

Sorry, it doesn't have any PCX or PCI-X slots, but it does have a 1 PCIe x8, 1 PCIe x1 and 3 regular PCI slots. You can stick a PCIe x16 card in the x8 slot with a little modification.

See the unofficial SC420 FAQ for more info: http://www.aaltonen.us/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2058

The sweet spot for me would be SC420 w/ P4 2.8, 512MB, 80GB for $299. The previous low-dollar mark was also $229, but it had 512MB and 80GB paired with the Celeron.

Not jumping on this one.

My last one came with a WD Caviar SE 8MB 80GB SATA/150

The one before that came with some Maxtor 80GB SATA that died in 3 weeks (clickity clickity cliiiiiiiick cliiiiiiiiiiiiick, clunk)

Can anyone tell me how loud this is? The server dells are usually louder than the desktops yeah? Is it bearable?

edit: nm, been reading the FAQ.
