Nice Deal

Correct me if I am wrong.

The CPU that came with this package is a 423 chip, which mean it is the older version of P4, the new one is all 478. I think the fastest 423 P4 chip is 1.9G. If you plan to upgrade to the 2G+ CPU you might want to think about this.

Correct. This isn't the stellar overclocker. Very good deal though

well i use the P4S5A board for Socket 478 P4's and it was a treat to put together. It's a nice stable board that's cheap for the P4 line. Too bad this deal is for the 423 series. The P4S5A that i have is used for some of my multimedia work etc etc.. go for it if u want to stay intel and want a cheap mobo

You can get a 1.6a at newegg for $137 free shipping and a Gigabyte GA8-SRX for $62.54 plus shipping at mwave. $200 for a very fast combo.

Well if you're willing to settle for a SDRAM mobo like that Gigabyte is, then you can get the Sapphire i845 mobo at NewEgg for $39, or a refurbished Asus P4B for around $67. And i think there are some DDR boards in the $60-70 range, just check Anand's Price Guide.

Morph: All the motherboards you reference are SDRAM motherboards. The Gigabyte is indeed a SDRAM board, a DDR SDRAM board (SIS645). They are frequently hitting >150Mhz FSB with the 1.6a. I looked at 1066 RDRAM with a Northwoods B, but the money was in a different league.
