Not 100% sure, but this is probably a WD drive, That's my my other Calvary turned out to be.
 
I got a 500GB Cavalry USB back in the day as well, and it was a SATA WD drive as well.

EDIT: for people who care, the warranty on these drives are only for 1 year
 
How difficult is it to remove the enclosure? I would go for it if I know I can safely remove the drive from the enclosure. Hope the drive is the WD10EACS green Power drive.
 
It can't be that hard. I can't talk about this model from experience, but I got a Hitachi 1tb from Best Buy a while back and it came out of the enclosure in about five minutes.
