Now for an off-topic micro-rant!
🙂
No piece of cookware is perfect: different hand-sizes/strengths and specific cooking styles require different cookware. Cast-iron is perfect for some things, light-weight metal for others, and teflon-coatings work in many places. One accumulates multiple pieces which that at first seem similar but are appropriate for different types of cooking.
The BEST "everyday" cookware for -ME- was made by Cuisinart... once upon a time. Alas, no longer!
🙁 With my large hands and strength, the rolled-stainless handles of the
earlier models had the right balance and a large-enough handle-diameter that I was comfortable with any pan they made. Now they've gone "classic", and the thin handles are too slight for my grip; all their heavier pieces are unwieldy.
My oblique point is this: if you find a product that
really works for you, it may be ephemeral: GET AS MUCH OF IT AS YOU CAN EVER USE RIGHT AWAY!!!
🙂 So, if these knives are superb for you, get more while you can! Even if they are not on sale.
