How could this be old news when the rebate is for today only?

Since the rebate is for today only, CSR's don't even realize there is a rebate and I had zero problems getting this offer.

hm...looks like they have a new rebate for this...i mistake.

they had a similar deal, but with a different rebate i guess, a few back...and a lot of people got shot down (including me, three times by three different csr) for trying to use a coupon with the rebate.

maybe this new rebate has no restriction, in anycase hot if it works...but i already went ahead and got from newegg. great piece of hardware!

Word of warning. I bought a Madmutt sound card at Officemax. It works great, but I sent in the rebate in June and finally got it THIS WEEK. Be prepared to wait a LONG time for those rebates. Email/calls to Officemax went unanswered.

Same thing happened to me with the Maddog rebadged NEC 2500A burner - filed for rebate in July and I still haven't gotten it, and the status of the rebate has fluctuated too (they claimed it was incomplete, then didn't, now they're 'investigating'.)

Maybe I'm just lucky-have bought the MD 20/20 sound card and two 8x +/- burners all at OM during the past 6 months. All rebates came through,. the sound card even was quick!
