Today my barber thought I said "Add 10" when I really said "add 2"

I thought $5 was standard. Though my son and I get free haircuts for life, according to the lady who cuts my hair, because I hooked up her PC's when she opened her new salon.

If you immediately say: "LOL, no I said 2 not 10", its no biggie, and there is no bad vibe. Once that opportunity passes, its over...you blew it, you could have and should have corrected him.

$10 is no "huge tip" btw, just more than average for a barber. He probably has a good use for the cash, and you have a good use for his service. Win/win for a couple bucks, and makes up a little for all the cheap bastards that don't tip at all. He'll remember.

I have, though laughing is just as effective. ;)

A $10 is not that big... just consider it good karma.

YOU may want to replace "LOL", with a sincere "Chuckle" and by "Chuckle", I mean the "act" not the "word".

Of course, myself, I use the literal "LOL", especially with older folks....

Oh well, just tell him he ripped you off next time and don't pay the full amount. ie. $10 haircut, pay $3.
