Today my barber thought I said "Add 10" when I really said "add 2"

I couldn't correct him though because he's like a 70 yr old dude and she shook my hand - I felt to bad to take it back :frown:

Is the barber a he-she? 😕

You know, one of them she-boys! *blubblubblubblub*

(If you haven't seen the DOOM movie, please ignore the above. 😀)

Let him keep it, if $8 is really that huge of an amount you need to re-examine your finances. Think of it as ensuring that you'll have good service for as long as your continue to go to the barber.
Whenever I go to the salon to get my hair cut I always make it a point to tip well(usually $5), I mean, of all the people who you go to for services the person cutting your hair can screw you over the worst.

Agreed. I always paid 15 for my haircut, 12 and 3 tip, but moved to a new place that only charged 10. Gave teh 15 anyway and I've been very happy ever since.

No hair cut tipping for me 😛.

Do you guys think you'd get crappy service if you didn't tip? Just DON'T go to that place if they shaft you for not tipping. I'd rather have them jack their prices then for them to expect a tip or give me crappy service because I didn't tip. American tippin culture I guesss. It isn't a big deal in England....

I have my mum cut my hair. 18yrs experience

If you speak as well as you type, then no surprises here.

Bwahaha, they probably heard you say "add two" but they knew you were a sucker

what sucks the worst about this... is that he is gonna expect this kind of tip from now on. and if you tip him less in the future, he will probably get insulted.

you are probably gonna have to find a new barber.

Yep. This is why, although I would like to occasionally tip for some things where not normally necessary (deliveries in inclimate conditions, for example), I do not.

I tip my stylist between 40 and 50%. Quite often I he will keep the studio open for me past regular business hours.

I probably would have done the same thing...although you'd think that at his age, he'd know that no one tips $10 for a haircut. How much was the haricut itself?
