Today I start my new job, which makes marks a turning point in my life. I am no longer a college student working on the side..... I am a worker going to one class in the evening.

This is the first job I've had where I didn't have to make conssesions on pay or benefits because I was a fulltime student. This is a very important step in my life and I am fully aware of it. I just hope I can make the best of it and excel far...

Wish me luck! :)

55k annual salary, dayum that's a hot deal consider it's in alaska. Bad news though, that place will be among the first to go in nuclear war, you better create some fallout shelter of your own or buy some high speed big catamaran for get away.

Congratulations, Jugernot! You landed a top-notch job. Are you a GS-civilian or contractor? Oh wait a minute...Anteon corp...you're a contractor. Cool!!!

You will do will. Keep your head on straight, do the work, go home when you're done. Easy. Best of luck to you! :)

I'm home for lunch.... been filling out paperwork all morning and going over all the different systems at the facility. I can't go into details because most of it is classified, but some very cool stuff. I will say that Doom 3/Halflife 2 ain't got NOTHING on some of these systems...... :Q

The learning curve is going to be steep and I'm going to have to learn all the accronyms for stuff, which should come with time.

The group of guys I'll be working with seem VERY easy going and fun. They are all previous military, so they swear like sailors (literally in two cases) and are constantly telling jokes.

If I can get the systems down, I think I'll do fine.
