Today is my one year anniversary...

...of quitting cigs after 35+ years of smoking. Don't see myself ever smoking again and don't miss it. It was a vile habit, though I can completely understand why people like it.

For the next year I plan to lose the 20+ pounds gained after quitting. :\

Good job. I quit three times the first was 1.5 years and the second 6 months. This third time I am using an ecig and slowly lowering the nic level over time. Over 1 year now and don't want to go back.

The random cravings still suck though.

My son does e-cigs. I tried his setup and found it a bit overwhelming. It was strong on the nicotine. There was probably an in-between for my tastes but felt that completely quitting was a better alternative.

Haven't had much in the way of cravings since quitting.

Good for you. I had a relative that smoked as long as if not longer than you. It's nice to be around her without hearing the constant coughing and dealing with the smell. Unfortunately she ended up with pleurisy and has to occasionally use an inhaler. Hopefully you got out in time without no lingering health issues.

Congrats. I went to e-cigs over 2-1/2 years ago. Haven't had a real cigarette since.

I quit smoking back in 2004...stayed quit for about 18 months...then slipped up and had ONE...that was all it took.

Now I gotta make myself quit the e-cigs. While they're a ton healthier than real ones, they're still not "healthy." (especially at the nicotine level I use) 😛
