Earth Day is a time to celebrate gains we have made and create new visions to accelerate environmental progress. Earth Day is a time to unite around new actions. Earth Day and every day is a time to act to protect our planet.

Earth Day is April 22

Sat around in front of my computer in my pajamas...
Went for a bike ride...
Sat around some more...
Drank beer...

Sounds like I didn't do much pollutin' and I've started on the celebratin'. Maybe every day is Earth Day at my house.

Hah! Based on what you've been up to the last couple days, you should have a lot of sympathy for the lazy!

And I gotta walk more than 30 feet. Well, unless my neighbor's home. :p

Doesn't it bother you that you will never have a good job because of your habits?

Your post does not mesh with reality, sir. May want to recalibrate.

i've been saying this for months. ;) So maybe he was first, but I've never heard of the guy.

however, I want to preserve my life as best I can, because I do enjoy living. I just want to see what the hell would be dominant after we left. Dinosaurs, then extremely massive mammals and the eventual evolution of higher primates. Earth would be a strangely surreal place hundreds of years from now if mankind disappeared today.
<--- imagines an I Am Legend-esque world with deer running through the tall grasses that grew in the cities once we stopped being able to care for them. Maybe even a more primitive form of humans that kind of de-evolved with the absence of large civilizations to support the cities, so no communication and an eventual decline in knowledge/intelligence in the dark and bleak world. Almost spooky.

Yeah. I differ in that while it would be good for the rest of all life on the planet for humans to disappear, I don't want to take out mankind, and most certainly don't want a part of taking my own life. However, whatever happens happens. I would, however, be extremely bored if I were one of a few to survive a mass wipe out.
Hell, I think it would be good though, for humanity to face an impending crisis that would spell the end of humanity, or most of it. It would be the ultimate test. Could we put our problem solving skills to work and find the answer the resulted in our survival? Or would we fail the test and simply be wiped out. The tests throughout mankind's history always resulted in the advancement of man. We need more of them if we want to be a better species. Else, we tend to just sit here and don't really do much in terms of advancing. A lot of people view mankind as the ultimate product of evolution (or creation... or whatever), but I think we're at a point where we could easily evolve more, mostly in the sociological/philosophical sense, if we took the right path.
